Payment and Refund Policy
Last updated: 19 September 2026.
Scope of this policy and the services it covers
This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all bookings and purchases made through redfloornu for specialised training courses focused on live production decks and control rooms. These include instruction in multi-camera switching, live broadcasting techniques, real-time video operation, and professional management of television and streaming productions. The policy covers both in-person workshops and digital access to recorded modules or live-streamed sessions delivered from our United Kingdom base. It governs the commercial relationship between you and redfloornu whenever payment is made for course places, materials or related services.
Prices, currencies, taxes and additional charges
All prices displayed are in British Pounds Sterling and include value added tax at the prevailing UK rate unless otherwise stated. Course fees cover tuition, access to required software demonstrations and standard materials. Additional charges may apply for optional extras such as printed workbooks, extended access periods or certification examinations. Any such extras are clearly itemised before payment is requested. Prices are subject to change but the amount confirmed at the time of booking remains fixed for that transaction.
Accepted payment methods, authorisation and security
We accept major credit and debit cards, bank transfers and approved digital wallets. Payment is processed through secure third-party gateways that comply with UK data protection standards. Authorisation occurs immediately upon submission of card details. You will receive an email confirmation once funds have been successfully taken. All transactions are encrypted and we do not store full card numbers on our systems.
Order confirmation, contract formation and when a binding agreement arises
A contract is formed when we send you a written confirmation email following receipt of full payment or a valid purchase order. Until that point no binding obligation exists on either side. The confirmation email sets out the course dates, access instructions and total amount paid. You should retain this document as proof of your booking.
Cancellation rights and applicable cooling-off periods
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you normally have 14 calendar days from the date of booking to cancel without giving a reason. However, this right is lost once you have accessed digital course content or attended the first live session. For in-person courses, cancellation must be notified before the start date to qualify for any refund consideration.
Refund eligibility, exclusions and non-refundable items
Refunds are available only where cancellation occurs within the permitted period and before any substantial content has been accessed. No refund is given for non-attendance after the cooling-off period, partial completion of modules, or failure to meet personal prerequisites. Promotional or discounted places are non-refundable once booked. Digital downloads and recorded sessions are non-refundable after access has been granted.
Step-by-step procedure to request a refund
To request a refund you must email [email protected] with your full name, booking reference number, course title and the reason for cancellation. You should also include bank details if you wish the refund to be returned to a different account from the one used for payment. Requests received by post to The Warehouse, 3 Js Nursery, Smarts Heath Road, Woking, Surrey, GU22 0RG, United Kingdom will be processed but email is the preferred and fastest route. You must keep a copy of your request.
Inspection, approval, rejection and notification of the refund decision
Upon receipt of a valid request we will review it within five working days. We will confirm whether the request meets the eligibility criteria and notify you by email of our decision. If approved, the refund will be authorised. If rejected we will explain the specific reason and offer any alternative options such as transferring the booking to a future date where available.
Refund method, processing time and when funds reach the customer
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Credit and debit card refunds typically appear on your statement within five to ten working days although the exact timing depends on your card issuer. Bank transfers are processed within seven working days. We will send a confirmation email once the refund has been initiated.
Special rules for digital content, subscriptions and promotional offers
Digital course materials are treated as digital content under UK law. Once you begin streaming or downloading material your cancellation right ends immediately. Subscriptions for ongoing access are billed in advance and are non-refundable for the current billing period. Promotional bundles combining digital and live elements follow the stricter of the two applicable rules.
Failed payments, duplicate charges, chargebacks and suspected fraud
If a payment fails we will notify you and allow one further attempt before cancelling the booking. Duplicate charges will be investigated and any excess amount refunded automatically. Chargebacks are treated as disputes and may result in suspension of future bookings. We reserve the right to investigate suspected fraudulent activity and to involve law enforcement where appropriate.
Mandatory consumer rights that cannot be excluded
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts Regulations or the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. These rights include remedies for services not performed with reasonable care and skill. If any term of this policy is found to conflict with mandatory law the remaining terms continue to apply.
Contact route, policy changes and governing law
Questions about this policy should be sent to [email protected] or by post to The Warehouse, 3 Js Nursery, Smarts Heath Road, Woking, Surrey, GU22 0RG, United Kingdom. We may update the policy from time to time to reflect changes in law or business practice. The version in force at the date of your booking governs that transaction. This policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
